Another stolen bag update
I had my bag taken on Monday. We didn't go back to daycare again until Thursday. Not because of the bag, but that's just how things worked out. Tuesday morning I woke up late and had limited time to get to work. Wednesday...well I slept till noon. Thursday morning when I pulled up in front of daycare, I noticed a guy standing across the street in front of a business that wasn't open yet. He made me feel a little nervous because he was just standing there watching me. Was that the bag snatcher? Who knows. I did make sure to lock the car and put my things out of sight.
I have my driver's license again, I have a new cell phone, replacement insurance cards, replacement social security cards on the way, and 2 new checking accounts with new debit cards on the way.
Life rebuilds itself.
However, whomever took my purse has been writing checks from Julian's account. I had an electronic check from Wal Mart hit his account today. I had to call Telecheck to get information about it, and the check number was the 10th check in the book that was in my purse so I'm going to assume that there's 10 more checks out there somewhere. The bank has the account flagged so they can't come into the bank to get any money out and the debit card is blocked. As of today, Telecheck also has that account flagged for suspicious activity so that any future attempts to write checks to a Telecheck merchant will be thwarted. What is it with me, stolen checks, and Wal Mart? The last time someone stole my checks, they went to Wal Mart as well. Damn Wal Mart!
So now that I know there are transactions out there, it's time to go pick up a copy of my police report and get ready to start filling out the bank affidavits. At least I've been through this part of things before, so I know what to expect. I even have a stolen check file already with the information from the other account that had stolen checks.
I still have to say that if I ever find out who did this, they're going down. I am so mad about all this crap I'm having to go through.
