9 weeks to go
It's 65 days until the big day. 65 days...that's not long, when you think about it. We'll be 4 instead of 3 then.
And there's so much I have left to do. I have to get the nursery cleaned up and ready for a new inhabitant. I have to go through the baby things and get things sorted out and cleaned up. I still need (with the help of Julian) to pick out a boy name. I'm a little frustrated by not knowing the gender of this baby. Of course, it could be worse. I just have to remember my first pregnancy and thinking that my little boy was a girl for about 37 weeks. My doctor has said that he'd try to get me in for another ultrasound, but I don't think that's happening. I just discovered that my 2nd ultrasound from May was not covered by my insurance. It turns out that they only cover one ultrasound per pregnancy. So the one I had back in February that the doctor used to confirm the pregnancy due date (when I wasn't even 10 weeks pregnant) is the one that was allowed by the insurance. The one from May that was actually somewhat medically justified is the one that was not paid. So now I get to petition the insurance company to get it paid...or else pay the $215 out of pocket. Should this not be something my doctor/doctor's office would have known about? It's not like I'm using some obscure insurance/HMO. Bleh. Given this knowledge, the 4D ultrasound thing I posted about before is looking like a better option. I could go to my doctor for a regular 2D ultrasound and get one or two pictures for $215, or to the Babyview place and get a 4D ultrasound done with 4-5 black and white pictures, 12 colour pictures, a video and CD-ROM for $200...or at the Babyview place a 2D ultrasound with 6-8 black and white pictures and a video for $125. Either way, the Babyviews place is cheaper. But given our current financial state, do I really need to know?
